Services - Younger People With Disability

The Community Care Supports Program

The Community Care Supports Program is funded by the NSW Government and provides a range of basic support services to assist younger people with disability to remain at home.  Services we are able to provide include transport, yard and lawn maintenance, day-activities and meals.  We are also able to assist with access to the community, shopping, bill paying and individual support to engage and participate in community life.  People with Disability and their carers are welcome to participate in planned social outings and activities.  To access services with our organisation an inital assessment of need is completed by a qualified member of our staff.  This can be completed in your home or our office and transport can be arranged if needed.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme

NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme - a new way of providing community linking and individualised support for people with permanent and significant disability, their families and carers.  The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) commenced on 1st July 2013 with a number of trial sites across Australia. In NSW the trial site covers the Hunter region, with the full scheme commencing on 1st July 2016 and full coverage across NSW by 2018/19.  The main function of the NDIS is to fund long-term high quality care and support for people with significant disabilities.

We will work with you through the transition to the NDIS and facilitate access to ongoing services.  Our organisation will be able to provide ongoing services to you, if current services are deemed reasonable and necessary by the National Disability Insurance Agency.  My Access Checker is a useful tool that can help you or your carer determine whether you are eligible to access assistance from the National Disability Insurance Scheme.  You can find more information and keep up to date online at the NDIS website.  Visit or call the National Disability Insurance Agency on 1800 800 110.  Or you can Contact Us
